    The Workforce Business Liaison will be responsible for business collaboration and relationships and for providing coordination of Workforce Development Business Services programs and services under the direction of the Workforce Programs Manager. Please apply at https://semcajobs.appone.com


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Assist with development, coordination, and implementation of strategies to cultivate and increase work-based training opportunities, programs, in collaboration with employers to create pipelines of skilled workers
    • Conduct outreach in collaboration with a variety of external partners that could include business services staff, industry and workforce intermediaries, employers, local and state partners, the education sector, and chambers of commerce to facilitate new work-based training opportunities across all programs
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with partners and business clients to expand and diversify participation in work-based training
    • Maintain an understanding of state and federal policies relevant to assigned program portfolio.
    • Serve as point of contact for providers and act as agency “expert” in assigned business services initiatives and programs, including Registered Apprenticeships
    • Assist with updating performance data outcomes, employer interactions, and contact information in SEMCA CRM (Salesforce) by zone and by combined SEMCA region
    • Responsible for Virtual Job Fair planning and execution, and coordination of regional event coverage.
    • Participate in program planning, reporting and implementation as required
    • Assist with special projects as required
    • Other duties as assigned



    All SEMCA team members are expected to be technically competent and committed to continuous development of their skills. The following skills, knowledge and education or certifications are specifically required for this position:

    • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field and/or 5 years’ experience in business-to-business (BTB), marketing, or sales
    • Strong customer service aptitude
    • Strong verbal and written competencies
    • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
    • Ability to collect, monitor and analyze data
    • Ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task responsibilities
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
    • The ability to represent SEMCA in employer engagement and activities

    Desired Skills:

    • Two years of experience in workforce development and community/employer outreach activities
    • Salesforce CRM
    • Ability to execute projects independently
    • Knowledge of the SEMCA regional business community
    • Portfolio or presentation of experiences

    Physical Demands

    Duties require sufficient mobility to work in a normal office setting and use standard office equipment including a computer, vision to read printed materials on an LCD screen and smartphone, hearing and speech sufficient to communicate in person and over the telephone.     Compensation and Benefits

    Annual salary range is $48,000 to $56,000 with a competitive benefit package including medical, dental, and optical insurance, 403b retirement savings, paid holidays and paid time off.
