    Job Summary

    The WIN Workforce Program Manager will be responsible for program management of business partnerships and workforce solutions related to regional initiatives in Southeast Michigan.     Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Works collaboratively with WIN program and project managers to develop and implement best practices for managing employer-led collaboratives and regional workforce training strategies
    • Facilitates employer-led collaborative meetings
    • Responsible for Researching and guiding sector strategy and career pathway development in employer-led collaborative meetings
    • Ensures participant tracking and reporting activities are being performed by partners, and are complete and accurate in federal reporting systems
    • Performs internal audits to assure accurate tracking of documents and data management for the workforce Intermediary
    • Responsible for the oversight of employer and training participant compliance
    • Organizes meetings with team partners and industry stakeholders to communicate progress and status of grant deliverables
    • Assists with the development of documentation, reporting, and monitoring guidelines
    • Provides technical assistance to grant partners (subrecipients, sub awardees, etc.)
    • Leads filing and recordkeeping for grant activities
    • Schedules meetings, builds partner relationships, develops meeting agendas, schedules relevant external speakers, convenes partners, and delivers presentations
    • Assists with the development, preparation, and submittal of reports and materials for the Department of Labor, WIN board, and others as needed
    • Continuously improves written and oral communication skills and technical knowledge
    • Affirms cultural commitment to strengthen WIN brand and image
    • Achieves performance outcomes for regional workforce programs and grant deliverables
    • Explores, researches, and proposes workforce solutions for regional employer collaboratives
    • Supports development and bidding process for procurement of contractual grant activities
    • Organizes and maintains policy and procedure documents related to areas of work
    • Assists with the production and distribution of all final electronic documents to support grant programs
    • Creates and maintains calendar of deadlines for contracts and reports
    • Attends and presents at meetings and events, as needed
    • Assists with posting and updating materials on website and social media, including generating short, original content
    • Provides support to other WIN staff members for grant-related projects and initiatives

    Performs other duties as assigned to support WIN

    Qualifications

    All SEMCA team members are expected to be technically competent and committed to continuous development of their skills. The following skills, knowledge and education or certifications are specifically required for this position:

     

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, or another related field
    • Minimum five (5) years of experience in managing workforce development or managing postsecondary training programs and initiatives
    • Minimum five (5) years of demonstrated project management experience
    • Experience working with the Michigan business community
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
    • Strong ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in written form
    • Excellent organization skills and strong attention to detail
    • Ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task responsibilities
    • Strong customer service aptitude
    • Demonstrated ability to represent WIN in employer engagement activities
    • Ability to collect, compile, and analyze data, and produce resulting reports
    • Ability to independently manage and execute multiple projects of varying complexity
    • Demonstrated experience and proficiency with meeting coordination and file management

     

    Desired Qualifications:

    Proficiency with web-based platforms such as Basecamp and Dropbox

     

    Physical Demands

    Duties require sufficient mobility to work in a normal office setting and use standard office equipment including a computer, vision to read printed materials on an LCD screen and smartphone, hearing and speech sufficient to communicate in person and over the telephone.     Compensation and Benefits

    Annual salary range is $75,000- $85,000 with competitive benefit package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 403(b) retirement plan with employer match, paid holidays, paid time off.
