The Opportunity:

Zeal Credit Union is seeking a Full Time Collections to join our dynamic and growing team! If you have the qualifications listed below this job might be just right for you:

Essential Functions:

• This position oversees collection efforts to include measures to prevent foreclosure through forbearance, loan agreements/modification or legal processes as an alternative to the traditional collection methods
• Handle and maintain OREO property portfolio
• Understanding bankruptcy, judgments, levies and garnishments
• Maintain reporting of recovery accounts, repossession portfolio including CPI placement and cancellation
• Interactions with and prepares documentation for legal efforts and credit agency reporting
• Maintain adequate records on all delinquent loans and share accounts and tracks accounts and payments through collection, charge off and recovery efforts
• Works closely with various staff members to provide credit solutions for our credit union members

Qualifications:

• Extensive knowledge of collection regulations including the Military Lending Act and relief measure, prevention and filing foreclosure claims
• Proven organizational culture champion 
• Proven history of being a positive influencer within the organization 
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Suite products
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent member service skills 
• Results oriented, with the ability to work independently
• Self-motivated, multi-tasker
• Proven success with being adaptable and flexible in the work environment
