Even with its rich assortment of city services, Livonia property tax remains as the second lowest municipal tax rate in Wayne County at $33.50 per $1,000 taxable value. A strong business base has helped to position Livonia as having the fourth highest state equalized value at $5.642 billion. The taxable value of property is 50% of the current market value. Taxes are calculated per $1000 of taxable value of the property. Sales tax is 6% statewide with exemption for food and drugs. Income Tax is 3.99% flat rate statewide. Livonia has no Local Income Tax! The city also actively works at promoting development of manufacturing
through the use of Industrial Facilities Exemption Certificates and
