Livonia is a thriving retail market due to its large population (100,545), per capita incomes 27% above the national average and a central location in Detroits western suburbs. No matter where you are located in Livonia, it is easy to access because the city is designed on grid of five lane roads that make travel convenient. Surrounding communities also find Livonia easy to access with two major freeways bordering the city (I-96 and I-275). Nothing in Livonia is more than 5 to 10 minutes away and with the efficient road system, there is never a traffic problem.

Laurel Park Place is a very popular, upscale shopping destination, which is anchored by Parisian, Von Maur and includes many other high-end retailers. A Marriott hotel and office building adjoin the mall. The mall is located at the northwest corner of Six Mile and Newburgh roads.

Livonia Mall, at Middlebelt and Seven Mile Road, is one of the major shopping destinations in the community. The mall includes many craft and antique dealers, specialty shops and is anchored by Sears, Mervyns, and Crowleys Value City.

� Another shopping destination is the Plymouth Road Corridor. The Plymouth Road Development Authority has spent millions of dollars revitalizing Livonia's original commercial center. Extensive landscaping, brickwork, lighting, and other improvements have helped to revitalize the area and attract new investment.

The Millennium Park area just off of I-96 attracts many people from surrounding cities with its mix stores, including Meijer, Home Depot, Wal-Mart, and Costco.buca

There are also many strip centers throughout Livonia that are located at or near most major intersections.

Livonia is also the home to over 200 local restaurants ranging from fine dining to fast-food.

With its excellent location and above average per-capita income, it's easy to see why the city is one of the most sought-after places to do business in metro Detroit.
