MEET THE CHAMBER STAFF
Dan West, IOM
Dan West has served as President and CEO of the Livonia Chamber of Commerce since November 2006. He previously worked as a newspaper reporter for 12 years, most recently with The Livonia Observer. The Livonia Franklin High School graduate earned a bachelor’s degree from Wayne State University. He completed the Institute of Organizational Management (IOM) nonprofit management program coordinated by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
During his tenure, the chamber initiated high-profile efforts in community marketing, regional promotion of Western Wayne County, and workforce development – with a goal of connecting more talented young people to high-tech and skilled careers in high demand in southeast Michigan.
Dan serves on the Livonia Community Foundation Board, as a public-address announcer for high school sporting events, adult leader for a summer Boy Scout camp on Mackinac Island, and coach for youth softball and hockey. He is a past president and chairman of the Livonia Jaycees and the Michigan Association of Chamber Professionals.
Dan worked out-state for several years before buying a home in Livonia in 2001 with his wife, Amy. They have two daughters, Janie and Natalie. They are active parishioners at St. Aidan Catholic Church.

Dawnne Toppa, IOM
Dawnne Toppa has served as Chief Connections Officer/Vice President of the Livonia Chamber of Commerce since September 2010. The Westland native has worked for the Livonia Chamber since 2008, previously worked as the Director of Public Affairs. The Livonia Franklin High School graduate has a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Eastern Michigan University. She completed the Institute of Organizational Management (IOM) nonprofit management program coordinated by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
In her time at the Livonia Chamber, she has helped increase the membership by 15 percent and enhanced membership services.
Dawnne is a past Livonia Jaycees president and currently a Livonia Kiwanis Early Riser and Livonia Optimist. She is a Notary Public. She resides in Livonia.
Debbie Ferensic has served as the Livonia Chamber's office manager since 2003. In that role, she handles the financial transactions for the Livonia Chamber. She previously held other administrative and event planning roles since joining the chamber staff in May 1996. The Livonia Franklin High School graduate earned an Associate’s degree in Applied Science from Schoolcraft College.
The Livonia native is a member of the Livonia Prayer Breakfast committee.
Debbie is involved with Livonia’s Sacred Heart Byzantine Catholic Church. She has a grown daughter, Kelli, and two grandchildren, Courtney and Kaitlin.
Director of Marketing and Events
Laura Tahmouch is the director of marketing and events. She has worked with the Livonia Chamber since January 2011. The Allen Park native graduated from Cabrini High School and holds a Bachelor's degree in Journalism and Public Relations from Madonna University.
Since joining the Livonia Chamber staff, Laura has revamped the Chamber's social media platforms and website. She is the primary coordinator of the 30-40 events each year. She is currently enrolled in U.S. Chamber of Commerce's Institute of Organizational Management (IOM) program.
She coordinates alumni programs for Cabrini High School. Laura, along with her husband Tony, resides in Livonia.
Rachel Fetter, marketing assistant, began at the Chamber as a marketing intern in January 2016 through the Livonia Public School's career intern program. She graduated from Stevenson High School in May 2016 and is currently attending Schoolcraft College.
